The Mill House is approximately 200 years old and was originally built from locally sourced random stone.  The new design sought to rebuild the Mill House using the original stone with a traditional lime render. The intention was to recreate the original building using traditional box sash windows, arched brick lintels and a replacement front door, to bring back the building to its former glory. 

Around the rear a more contemporary design is planned with large expanses of glass facing the rear garden that provide an open outlook and benefit from solar heat gain as this elevation faces south.

The new extended building will fit seamlessly back into the landscape as the Mill House returns resplendent in its original guise and this well-known landmark takes up its rightful place overlooking the approach to Penbryn.

The house is currently under construction and is expected to be completed in autumn 2025.
