Park Place Flats
Client: Bowden Jones Solicitors
Value: Approximately £5m

The two semi-detached white villas were built in the 1880s as family houses but have been used as offices for the past thirty years.  The villas mark a key corner site within the conservation area and required a sensitive approach because of their adjacency to the grade 1 listed Burgess building and the National Museum. The vision was to bring these villas back to their former residential use and to provide new high quality flats in a new extension for private sale.  The issue of scale was carefully considered through the use of 3D models, both physical and virtual, and the planners eventually backed the scheme because of the sensitivity and quality of the rear extension and the restoration of the original building.
