We developed the masterplan for a circa 9.5MWe Combined Heat and Power station to be the cornerstone of a proposed 'Green Quarter' for Cardiff - supplying both electric and thermal energy for future developments. In addition to the CHP, the proposed development includes industrial accommodation, mostly energized by the power station. The development will be built on brown field land, screened by the landscape. The roof form of the units have a saw tooth shape to provide north light and future potential for PVs ensuring the units can be low to zero carbon. Outline planning was secured in 2018.
