We are proud to have sponsored the Evolution Racing Academy for the past year
and the coming year. Following spending cuts at Welsh Cycling, the development
pathway for U14 and U16 boys and girls has disappeared. The Team aims to get this
generation through to the start of Junior Racing at National level by approaching
local businesses to step up and help plug the gap.
The Team are having a very successful year and have been racing all over the
country, they have had one team member who is currently on his way back from the
Youth Olympics and they have two of the under 14 boys that are ranked top of the
leader board in the UK. A few of the team have also been out racing in Belgium to
get experience and to get an idea of what’s to come at elite level cycling.
The next major event for some of the team is the 2022 National Youth and Junior
Track Championships held at the Geraint Thomas National Velodrome of Wales,
followed by the British Track Nationals held in Derby for which the boys have
qualified and are looking forward to the additional competition.
